William Corey
William G. Corey is the Director of Clinical Investigation at the Liver Center where he works with Dr. Myron Tong. He was born in La Jolla, and grew up in Pasadena where he attended Polytechnic School. He also attended the New Mexico Military Institute. He received his bachelors degree from UC Berkeley and his MD from USC where he was Clinical Professor of Medicine. He completed his internship and internal medicine residency at LA County USC Medical Center, and is board certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Corey has spent his career practicing medicine in Pasadena, where he served Huntington Hospital as president of the medical staff and as chairman of it Medical Education Committee. He is an Elected Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
He served on the board of the USC Norris Cancer Hospital, the McKenzie Foundation and the Sheriff Air Rescue 5 Foundation. He has also served as a member of the National Medical Response Team (Western Division) and of Disaster Medical Assistance Team 9 (Los Angeles County).
