Diane James
Diane James joined the HMRI staff in September 2011 as the Director of Development. She oversees private philanthropy from individuals, foundations, corporations and nonprofit organizations as well as communications and events.

A self-confessed “research junkie and chocoholic,” Diane’s professional experiences span 35 years in medicine, science, engineering and education throughout Southern California.
Her formal education includes undergraduate majors in communication and speech pathology and an MBA in organizational management. She holds certifications/credentials in educational administration, nonprofit management, planned giving and public relations along with her national fundraising certification (CFRE). Her leisure interests include golf, gardening, jewelry making and volunteering with Canine Corporations for Independence (CCI). A California native, Diane has resided in Glendora for the past 15 years with her husband.
