Ted G. H. Yuen 1933-2002 Ted G.H. Yuen, Ph.D., a valued member of HMRI's Neural Engineering Department from 1971 until his retirement in 2001, passed away on December 14, 2002. Ted was born and raised in Canada. He earned a B.S. degree in medical technology from Loma Linda University and a Ph.D. in experimental pathology from USC School of Medicine. He was skilled in histology studies, and as part of the microelectrode design and fabrication program he used both electron and light microscopy, including scanning and transmission electron microscopy of ultracellular structures. He authored and co-authored nearly 60 publications and 30 abstracts and belonged to many professional associations. Ted's friends and colleagues remember him as intelligent and hard working, deeply religious, kind, always pleasant, and as an expert in the sophisticated art of the pun. He leaves his wife of 44 years, Dorene, and their children Marc, Nancy, Phillip and Linda. HMRI extends deepest sympathy to Ted's family and many friends. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
